Do I need a visa to travel?

If you’re a citizen of a Schengen country, you only need an approved identity card to travel within the Schengen Area (the name on your ID should be written in the Latin alphabet). Please note that while your ID is sufficient, it is more common to travel with a passport.

If you travel outside the Schengen Area, you may need your passport, as well as your returning ticket and a visa. We recommend that you consult the embassy of the country you are visiting to determine which travel documents you need.

We may inform you of the visa requirements (transit visa) to travel to/through a certain country, but please be aware that it is the traveler’s responsibility to determine what documents are required.
